We Hope You Enjoy Your Stay

Guest Information

We will liaise with guests leading up to their visit to organise check in procedures to enable a smooth start to your stay. You will be given a 24-hour telephone number that you can text in case of emergency.

At the moment, due to COVID 19 we are offering only basic supplies to get you started such as cleaning materials, a couple of toilet rolls per toilet and hand washes.
If you are travelling with young children, a travel cot and high chair can also be provided at a rental cost of £10 per item.

Booking Terms & Conditions

General
  • Bookings are to start on the check in date and end on the check out date.
  • For bookings for longer than 1 week please contact us.
  • Bookings can be made online, by email or by telephone.
  • Payment will only be accepted in cash sterling or by credit/debit card.
  • A reservation fee of £100 is due on booking. Final balance is due 6 weeks before date of arrival. If the booking is made within 6 weeks of arrival the total cost will be due on booking.
  • Your booking will be confirmed by email.
  • Please note that booking amendments are subject to a £50 administration charge.
  • The remaining balance for bookings is due 6 weeks before your arrival date, if you are unable to make this payment then please get in touch at your earliest convenience. Nonpayments will result in the booking being cancelled.
  • Please note that all deposits made are nonrefundable.
Cancellations

We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance when you book. If you cancel more than 6 weeks before your booking is due to begin then you will lose your deposit. If you cancel up to 7 days before your booking and have paid your full balance then we will try to re-let the property and if we are successful then we will refund you the balance minus £100 deposit and £50 administration fee. Any bookings cancelled 7 days before the booking is due to begin or less will be non-refundable. Toast Lettings reserve the right to cancel bookings at any time with no penalty.

Check In / Out

Check in is available from 2pm up until 8pm on the date of arrival. Check ins after 8pm will be subjected to a £50 out of hours charge. All lets should be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. For extensions of check in/out times please contact Toast Lettings.

Property Use

All properties are to be used solely as short term holiday lets. All lets should only be occupied up to the amount of people specified on the property details. More than the quoted number of people will not be permitted. We reserve the right to refuse admittance if these terms are not observed and will deem the hire cancelled therefore forfeiting the deposit.

Data Protection

Toast Lettings are the sole data controller of all data given to us by clients and prospective clients and will work according with the Data Protection Act 1998 at all times.

Pets

Pets may be allowed in some lets. Please contact us for details.

Complaints

Should there be any cause for complaint before, during or after your stay please contact us as soon as possible.

Breakages and Damage

Please report any damage to us immediately. Blatant, malicious damage will be charged. It is the sole responsibility of the tenant to ensure that the property is secure at all times during the stay and that any loss is reported immediately. Unreported losses may be charged. Lost or non returned keys and parking zappers will be charged at £35 each.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted within any properties.

Legal

Toast Properties Limited T/A Toast Lettings, Toast Urban or Toast Rural acts as a holiday letting and management agent and can take no responsibility for any causes of injury, death or distress caused by the said properties.

Fully Managed by Toast Lettings

As well as looking after properties for clients, Toast Lettings also advertise properties that are owned and managed by the owners. Where you see this logo, Toast Lettings fully manage the property.

If this logo is not seen the owners are responsible for all enquiries after the initial booking.

"Charming cosy cottage"

The cottage is just off the main street in Alston and just a few steps away from a spar shop & one of the four pubs. The view from the rear of the cottage is beautiful with the hills & a river running nearby & a large playing field. We stayed for Christmas which was lovely, especially with the log fires burning. Would certainly stay there again.

Wanted a lazy weekend to celebrate an important birthday. Chose an apartment over a hotel and pleased that we did as this one was as nice as a hotel! Personal, friendly contact with Toast Lettings. If I could take this house with me on every family holiday, I would be delighted. Toast letting staff excellent, house spotless and comfortable and lots of space. Lots of baths, showers and toilets for everyone getting ready for a wedding. Ideal!

We have a network of clients who are asking us for serviced accommodation lasting for a few nights up to a few months.

We offer a flexible approach to short-term lets. We work closely with owners to ensure that they are able to use their own property when they wish to do so. You may wish to reserve your property for a special occasion or simply want to use it if it happens to be free. We are happy to help you make such arrangements.
